Paul LePage

With 94% of the vote in Paul LePage is ahead by about 4000 votes in Maine CD-2. I believe most of the outstanding votes are from rural areas in northern Maine. Most of those votes should go to Mr. LePage.

If he wins, would that make him the only GOP congresscritter from New England?

I believe you are correct. I just checked New Hampshire and each Democrat candidate won by over 55%.
I am sure the 50-70% increase in home heating oil helped with those percentages.

Maine is a different place... Maine people are gun owners, yet the people are libertarian. The national GOP forgot the Northeastern GOP. That's why the Republicans will never win in the Northeast. The West Coast, Hawaii and Northeast Republicans are America First, but they are also want to help Americans, too without the preaching and Bible quotes.

The Republicans needs to see what Northeastern, Pacific Coast and Hawaii Republicans would like to make them a national party. The Democrats can get their message through all of America - mostly lies - n

Maine CD-2 certainly has many people as you described.
Southern Maine, CD-1 has AWFULs, left-wing lawyers and lots of transplants from NYC, Boston, and their ilk.

THEE Paul LePage, the one people said was “Trump before The Donald was Trump”? Paul is 78 years old, and still going.
Might even be re-elected.
Outstanding!

Some folks just have more fire in the belly and will always be that way. I’ve got fire and passion too, but nothing I would expect to be long term sustained, on those levels.

We’ll need him there for 6 years. Trump always won that district-think candidate quality.

It’s nice to see a governor who’s won statewide stay in the game for a lesser office when he’s needed.

Howie Carr had Paul on his show this afternoon.

Paul’s supporters/staff had been calling the outstanding precincts to get their total vote counts to add to the other vote totals in an effort to keep the Me. SoS from pulling any more of her past tricks.

I just checked the results from the Bangor Daily News.
With 94% wards reporting Paul LePage is ahead by over 4000 votes and 50.0%. Just over 4000 ballots were left blank or had a write in (like Mickey Mouse). So it looks very good for Paul. However, nothing is certain when dealing with Democrats and close votes.

Apparently only two names on the ballot.
