Interesting discussion of the results in the German province of Sachsen-Anhalt. Check out the discussion around the 12:00 mark showing that actual in-person votes skewed strongly to the AfD, but mail-in ballots showed a tie between the AfD and CDU. Apparently the rules governing mail-in voting have been relaxed, making election fraud much more of a risk. Same hijinks we see here in the US?

Just had long chat with friend who came from Germany. Some of his children went back to live there. They came and stayed at his lake house for the summer a few years ago. Brought a few German-born friends. Very intelligent and great looking.

many years ago, I had a fly-drive to Germany because I wanted to see the Berlin Wall. Still have a chunk of it on my coffee table. None of friend’s kids or their friends from Germany had ever heard of it.
