Aviation experts are raising serious national security concerns about ensuring that the U.S. government properly vets risks from companies that provide air traffic control (ATC) technologies to China, pointing out that the U.S. could be vulnerable to cyberattacks if such companies are permitted to design or operate American ATC systems like the new common automation platform (CAP).
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced last November that it was seeking proposals to revolutionize how ATC officials receive flight data and move aircraft between facilities with a “single, state-of-the-art platform” referred to as a CAP, as part of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s plan to build a brand-new ATC system.
In April of this year, industry outlet Air Current reported that the companies on the FAA’s short list included U.S.-based Leidos and RTX, Spain’s Indra, and France’s Thales. The companies were among those reportedly asked to present their versions of a CAP to agency officials at their Washington, DC, headquarters.
Both Indra and Thales have done extensive work in and for China and have been deeply entrenched with the country’s aerospace industry and systems for decades.

Treasonous sellout of the UnitedStates continues.
Nothing to see here,
what could go wrong ?
Let’s see. Where does DJT fit in all this? Biden and BJ were distracted for different reasons.

Why don’t you tell us so we don’t have to be in suspense all day.
Indian citizens (H1B visas) now run basically all of our banks, schools, hospitals and software companies. So why worry?
Well, it sure is ‘t Trump’s FAA, and we know Trump has said he’s great friends with Xi, so it’s obvious Trump is responsible for all of this Chinese influence, right?

No no no! THAT’S WHAT YOU’RE HERE FOR. I’m only trying to tap into your wisdom. Help me out. At least 2 have contributed. Now it’s your turn.
I can wait until you listen to the daily podcast/conspiracy kook.
After 9/11 the airports had to look into foreign born employees who pushed luggage carts to load onto planes and so on. Many were put there by anti-American terrorist supporting countries.
Say do what? You can do better than that. Try again.
I don’t watch the “news”. I’m not an X member. I’m not on social media. I have never listened to a podcast.
I’m relying on you to fill me in on the latest conspiracy theories.
I’m so old I remember when you leftists fussed at Trump for blocking China tech like Huawei. Now you’re saying he’s too buddy buddy with China tech?
I’m too much like you-sorry.
Conspiracy theories-Don’t know too many.
Oooh! Conspiracy theory. 😆
**I’m so old I remember when you leftists fussed at Trump for blocking China tech like Huawei. Now you’re saying he’s too buddy buddy with China tech?**
Leftist. All I know is with them it’s easier to get laid.
Huawei/China tech-Loral is all I remember during BJ’s days.
This to me seems a very risky move.
Hack one airport and you hack them all.
If you know the vulnerabilities at one airport you know them all.
China doesn't buy any technology without the vendor giving them the technology as part of the deal.
I retired from the electric power industry after 37 years. When I found out that we were buying high tech large transformers from China that were digitally operated over the internet I thought that it was a huge mistake that threatened national security.
I was not a decision maker and did not have access to those that were.
How about NO!
Unqualified Indian citizens
