250 years ago, a new nation was born from the belief that freedom and opportunity belonged to the people. And, if necessary, was worth fighting for. Since then, more than 41 million men and women have answered the call to defend our freedom. This monument honors them.

Standing tall in Washington, D.C., The National Military Monument™ is a living tribute to the generations of military members whose service and sacrifice made this historic milestone possible for our country.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

This is a cool 250th tribute by the United States Automobile Association to all American veterans, past and present. Vets may wish to check if their name is on the digital National Military Monument.

If you ever get to the Florida Panhandle area visit the memorial at Beacon Hill. Here is a live YouTube webcam of the spot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBgnnvhS7E0

Thanks. My bad. I’ve been a member since ‘69 and got their name wrong.

Thanks, I didn’t know about this impressive memorial, overlooking the Gulf. When I’m down that way I will have to stop by. It’s nice to see the American spirit still exists to honor its service members.

My brother the Marine and step son the active duty Marine makes sure to stop by and polish the Marine brass plaque. It is a very quite and rarely visited memorial but beautiful for a picnic. High on a hill over looking the Gulf.

I could just scream when I have to listen to the USAA jingle when “on hold”.
