'He should go to jail': Senator insists that Fauci pay the price for COVID pandemic 'perjury''Has had contempt for Congress and contempt for the American people for decades'

Unleashed on Wednesday was a literal tidal wave of anger against Anthony Fauci, once the chief of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Joe Biden's top COVID-19 adviser, over his refusal to answer questions from Congress.

"The fact that he knew he was lying to the American people โ€” he should be held in contempt, he should be prosecuted for perjury, and he should go to jail," said Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Those questions arose because of his multiple statements in personal diaries that clashed, sometimes stunningly, with the talking points he was delivering in public, those used to shut down America's economy, force injurious DNA treatments on people and close schools.

A day later and the condemnation continues, this time with Cruz blasting Fauci, who now is retired on a taxpayer funded pensions of hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, for perjury and contempt and arguing he should face jail time.

This after Fauci claimed Fifth Amendment rights to refuse to answer congressional inquiries, despite a pardon from Joe Biden that covers the time frame involved.

"Years from now, they'll look back and say, 'What collective madness overtook this country?'" Cruz told Fox.

Yup! He should but we know it won't happen. On a side note, does (I love me sooo much) dear diary discussion/entry concerning 'Babs butt boil' violate HIPPA laws? Per his notations, he observed it and recommended treatment so............... Yewwwwwwwww!

I truly do not understand the logic of people who say that Fauci should be thrown in prison, but claim that he can't plead the Fifth because he has a pardon.

Pick a lane.

'Babs butt boil' violate HIPPA laws?

Technically it violates HIPAA laws; a hippa would be a female hippo, or a hippo that identifies as female. ๐Ÿฆ› (/jk)

At this morning's Bible study, the pastor offhandedly asked how many times Fauci pled the fifth, and all thirty or so in the room immediately responded 111 times. (It actually was related, since we were studying John 9 and the parents of the blind man plead the equivalent of the fifth to the Temple leaders.)

Didn’t his (111) statements say, “... respectfully ... request my fifth amendment ...”

That ‘respectfully’ is lying, right there, 111 times!

Explain to me how you can expect to throw someone in jail for a violation of federal law while simultaneously arguing that they have a valid pardon for those same federal crimes that precludes them from asserting the Fifth Amendment.

And I'd point out that the argument being made is not throwing him in jail for criminal contempt. It is that he should be imprisoned for the substantive acts he is alleged to have committed. For which you say he has been pardoned....

A blanket pardon for even crimes he “might” have committed or probably even just thought.

Why does Science need a blanket pardon?

I say test it by prosecuting him and let his lawyers used the pardon as a defense. Then take it all the way to SCOTUS and test it.

I believe that with the pardon, Fauci no longer was in legal
jeopardy for crimes he may have committed during the period
covered by the pardon. Since the legal jeopardy had been
removed, Fauci cannot claim protection under the 5th Amendment.

I think that Rand Paul had tried to lure Fauci into a perjury
trap. If Fauci made any statement that contradicted his testimony
before Congress during the COVID years, his contradiction would
constitute a CURRENT violation of perjury laws that would not
be covered under the terms of his pardon agreement. If his testimony was the same as his earlier hearings, then he would
be claiming facts that are plainly contradicted by his diary
and therefore perjury in the present day - also not covered by
the timeline of his pardon agreement. As a result, the only
course available to him was to refuse to answer the questions.

Hence, 111 examples of invoking the 5th Amendment.

Fauci should go to hell. Directly to hell. Do not pass GO, and do not collect any more “awards”, a pension, etc.

And he should be sued right into the poorhouse while they’re at it. He’s done so much damage to Americans that he can never atone for, but taking his wealth would be a good start.

The hearings yesterday were a farce. With the RATS preaching the glory of this little scumbag, you would think he was a great American hero or that they were elevating him to sainthood. I guess the next thing is he’ll be welcomed by the Chi-town Pope.
