SpaceXAI has become a major force for good in Memphis and surrounding communities.

• SpaceXAI’s expansion is projected to push local tax revenue above $100 million

• Employs almost 3,000 people locally in Memphis

• The Musk Foundation donated $350,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis

• Has paid tens of millions of dollars in property taxes to Memphis and Shelby County

• Spent $10 million in 2025 with Memphis restaurants and food vendors

• Starlink is also giving eligible Memphis-area residents half-price service.

• 80% of the construction workforce was hired from the Memphis community

• Hired thousands of subcontractors and works with local Memphis vendors/businesses

• Provides free meals around the clock for employees and contractors

• 25% of SpaceXAI property tax revenue is set aside for nearby communities

• Building an $80 million Colossus Water Recycling Plant. The plant is expected to treat around 13 million gallons of wastewater per day that will save about 4.745 billion gallons of potable water every year.

• Built electrical substations at no cost to MLGW

• Installed 240+ batteries for on-site energy storage and grid support

• Partnered with Memphis-Shelby County Schools on upgrades near its facilities

• MSCS accepted an in-kind Musk Foundation donation, previously reported around $6M, for school repairs and student support

• Removed major debris from local roads, including 300+ mattresses, 500 truck tires and 15,000+ lbs of waste

• SpaceXAI cleanup efforts have removed 100+ tons of garbage and debris

• Partnered with Mt. Vernon Baptist Church to support a new community center fundraiser

• SpaceXAI team members volunteered at Mid-South Food Bank and helped assemble 7,000 Christmas baskets

• Offers $25,000 signing bonuses for new hires relocating to Shelby County

• Offers $10,000 bonuses for workers moving to nearby Mississippi or Arkansas

SpaceXAI is not just building AI in Memphis.

It is investing in jobs, schools, infrastructure, cleanups, local businesses, families and the surrounding community.

People that lie about data centers are scum.

It’s becoming NIMBY ridiculous propaganda.

They are fighting one in Nashville because it’s going to be “near” the Zoo.

It also will be closer to the railroad and the new car massive parking lot there. Thousands of cars to be distributed across middle TN.

Bur the thieves/grafters from NAACP still sued SpaceX anyway in an attempt to grab some more of Musk's money.

Grok:

Yes, the NAACP sued xAI (Elon Musk's AI company, with ties to SpaceX) over air pollution concerns related to its data centers in the Memphis area.
Key Details
Lawsuit filed: April 2026 (after a 60-day notice of intent in earlier 2025/2026) in federal court in Mississippi.8a29ea
Claims: xAI (and subsidiary MZX Tech) violated the Clean Air Act by operating dozens of unpermitted methane/natural gas turbines (initially ~27, later more added) to power its Colossus and Colossus 2 data centers. These are accused of emitting pollutants (e.g., affecting air quality, with concerns over health impacts in nearby communities, including majority-Black neighborhoods in South Memphis and Southaven, MS).
Plaintiffs: Mississippi State Conference of the NAACP and the national NAACP, represented by the Southern Environmental Law Center and Earthjustice. They sought injunctions to stop operations, permits, controls, and penalties.
Status: Ongoing as of mid-June 2026. The U.S. Department of Justice (under the Trump administration) intervened to support dismissal, citing national security, AI competitiveness, and energy needs (e.g., Grok’s role in military applications). xAI has sought dismissal as well.
This fits into broader local tensions around the rapid buildout of xAI’s Colossus supercomputer cluster near Memphis. SpaceX/xAI links appear in ownership or operational contexts in reports. For the latest court updates, check federal dockets or recent news from sources like CNBC, AP, or Earthjustice.

Data Centers will be in space within the next few years... fueled by solar energy - no cloudy days up there.

Reaching out to make our world better will enflame commie/progressive hate even more. Well, it’s still worth doing - God bless Elon...
