A former Charlotte NC City Councilmember and BOTH of her daughters have now pleaded GUILTY to stealing over $124,000 in COVID relief money...
...for LAVISH BIRTHDAY PARTIES, HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGES, AND A THRONE!!!
Prosecutors say she and her daughters, Tijema Brown and Antionette Rouse, filed at least 15 FAKE loan applications for businesses that DID NOT EXIST, using forged tax documents, to drain pandemic relief funds meant for struggling Americans.
They got a mind-boggling $124,000.
They spent it on Louis Vuitton bags and a $15,000 BIRTHDAY PARTY with horses, thrones, fancy gifts.
And this isn't her first time.
Tiawana Brown is a CONVICTED FELON who already served federal prison time for fraud, years before Charlotte NC voters put her on the City Council.
This week, the last of the three, her daughter Antionette, pleaded guilty. She admitted to pocketing astonishing $51,000 by herself..
All three have now admitted it. All three are guilty.
She is looking at up to 20 years in prison.
ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!!!

Unreal. The whole damn thing was just unreal. If they catch even 1% of the fraudsters I’d be amazed. They are going after the big timers and the public officials because that is generally what the FBI is supposed to do - uncover big crimes and public corruption.
I got a PPP loan, and then a second one when they opened up round 2. But I paid myself and employees and only the allocated portion they said they allowed went to overhead. If I knew they were never going to audit or check I would have taken the $400 from California and $600 from the feds. My wife and I could’ve made $8000 a month and used the PPP loan to pay rent. We’re too honest for this world I guess.
But now I know why home prices skyrocketed at the time when nobody had a job!

It all started when I took the girls down to the bank to open a savings account with their grass cutting and lemonade stand money. Then the account just grew and grew.
Minnesota Somalian: Astonishing alright. That little amount would be the down payment on a luxury car in our town.
