True, but it makes sense. If as some believe all tariffs are passed on to consumers...why does the business get to receive a refund?
All costs are passed to the consumer, duh.
This is the first of many, many lawsuits following an incomplete SCOTUS ruling.
What did they think was going to happen by awarding refunds to the companies?

They knew the lawyers would get rich. Judges always look to make sure lawyers get paid.
There is something like $166 billion in potential tariff refunds that could be subjected to a special 100% income tax and the proceeds used to issue Gas Price Help checks (~$600 each) to owners of insured motor vehicles.

I worked for Nintendo in the early 80s every part was manufactured in Japan and assembled here in the US.
the company was structured so that every part was super expensive and that Nintendo USA would make a very minimal profit.
this was back when they made stand up arcade games.
