Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI.
AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

Musk is fascinated by the idea of the “Star Trek Economy”. What do I mean by “Star Trek” economy. Did you ever see any in any of the Star Trek manifestations have any other job then Star Fleet? The closet is remember is “Mud’s Women”. It’s loosely implied the miners are private sector. With replicators making everything from food to clothing, etc. Where is the need?
Musk is a dreamer. Sometimes he dreams dumb!
yes, that would be the final destination
You know what else is socialism in disguise? Taxpayers subsidizing the AI industry and centers and their infrastructure.
“Taxpayers subsidizing the AI industry and centers and their infrastructure.”
Please cite where.
He’s more like Arthur Jensen from the movie “Network”:
‘The world is a business, Mr. Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime. And our children will live, Mr. Beale, to see that... perfect world... in which there’s no war or famine, oppression or brutality. One vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock. All necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused.’
“It’s nothing but socialism, and socialism is just paving the road for communism.”
What is it when you have an AI driven, government-adjacent central planning AI community that monitors and runs every aspect of your life and it’s beyond any voter effort to stop it? And that the elites (nomenklatura) live lives of wealth and power while everyone else gets poverty and pervasive surveillance?
But I guess that’s ok as long as we don’t have a communist government.
It’s not like it’s the same thing or anything,
Careful, your critical thinking skills are showing. I’m a boomer and you’re exactly right.
It should be obvious on the surface that this is a bad idea. Any child can look at it and know if it does anything for someone except the billionaire class and increase the power of government that it’s probably wrong.
sounds good until you think about it..............
“The rest of humanity will be a parasite class, and over time, the leadership is going to wonder why they put up with these “useless eaters.””
Exactly! And it’s not like they haven’t said that’s what they’re gonna do. The George guide stones, WEF, everybody who’s anybody in that world constantly discusses getting rid of 90% of humanity. They’ll pay everyone a high universal basic income for a brief period of time until they unleash some lethal plague. You nailed it. If they don’t need us for any kind of work, the operant phrase is that they do not need us.

An interesting take from a musician’s perspective.

I can see that in him.
““Texas gave data centers more than 1 billion in tax breaks in 2025, data shows””
Data centers. Not AI.
Interesting, thanks for the link!
Exactly.
I read another article, that basically says, when it all shakes out, Apple will be the big winner in AI, because their focus is getting the LLMs to run on their hardware, without the need for the datacenters.
