I bet that most illegally owned guns are actually owned by Democrats.
Modern day gun control disproportionately impacts mostly Republican leaning constituencies and Democrats know this. It is all about disarming their opposition even if it is accomplished in only bits and pieces and the end result is something extremely evil.

The left is becoming very receptive to gun ownership and it is acceptable and normal for them to openly speak of gun buying and joining the rapidly growing leftwing gun training groups without drawing negative reaction from their fellow liberals.
Notice that Pretti’s gun packing during his two recorded physical attacks on federal law enforcement has not led to any gasping or negative gun remarks from the left, and in fact is strongly defended.

When was the last time a US citizen, with a Carry Permit, was involved in an illegal shoot?
In 2024 there were about 22 million US permits with about 35 million legal carriers (Constitutional Right to Carry Laws, obviate the need for permits in many states).
If a legal gun carrier gets involved in any kind of a shooting, you know it would be 24/7 news and even get samantha's dead mother the hell off of the TV talk shows.

How are these numbers not skewed? Who in their right mind is going to truthfully answer this question?
I wonder about the political profiles of Democrats who are gun owners.
Probably half of them are elderly "yellow dog" (or "blue dog"?) Democrats who haven't yet woken up to the fact that today's Democrats aren't the party of Harry Truman or even JFK and Tip O'Neill.
The rest are just hypocrites who believe that while they (or, if they're wealthy celebrities, their private security detail) are "responsible" enough to own guns, while all of the poor rubes in the hinterlands aren't fit for that right.
