The Trump administration has signaled to Ukraine that U.S. security guarantees would depend on Kyiv first agreeing to a peace deal likely requiring it to cede the Donbas region to Russia, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing eight people familiar with the talks.

Washington has also indicated it could offer Ukraine more weapons to strengthen its peacetime army if Kyiv agreed to withdraw forces from the parts of the eastern region it controls, the newspaper said.

A) Isn't Newsmax a news organization? Why don't they talk to those 8 people themselves?

B) Did the FT actually name the 8 people?

I am opposed to security guarantees for countries where we have no interests.

No matter the result.

If you’re Zelensky, Russia grinds on and takes Donbas militarily, without a deal.
And maybe a few more oblasts as a buffer.

This is a Rooters Sewer Service “report”, which is Disinformation, and must be analyzed and interpreted with that in mind.

“requiring it to cede the Donbas“

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That news is fake news.

That isn’t part of any peace deal. And if it was, 80% of the Ukrainian people would reject it. Plain and simple.

“Requiring it to cede the Donbas” is something Russia initially demanded in their Capitulation Plan for Ukraine. That idea went down the drain quickly, long time ago, after Ukraine managed to retake about 50% of Ukraine territory Russia managed to steal in the beginning of the war. After such a massive Russian retreat… the Capitulation Plan for Ukraine was evidently cancelled.

Russia already said they won’t agree to an arrangement like NATO, NATO light, a coalition of the willing or whatever you call it. They said they won’t sign onto an agreement where Ukraine is anything but disarmed and neutral.

Russia needs to take , as a buffer, the range of western supplied missiles. That would bring them up to the Dniepner River. It would be a good lesson to the war cheerleaders….and they need to take Odessa, which had been Russian for decades…the city Catherine the Great built.

The only good from this war: the war mongering, encroaching western war cheerleaders have failed, miserably. The West’s Project Ukraine is DEAD.

" and they need to take Odessa, which had been Russian for decades…"

Odesa

----------------------------------

The city saw violence in the 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine during the 2014 Odesa clashes. The 2 May 2014 Odesa clashes between pro-Ukrainian and pro-Russian protestors killed 42 people. Four were killed during the protests, and at least 32 people were killed after a trade union building was set on fire after Molotov cocktails exchange between sides.[68][69] Polls conducted from September to December 2014 found no support for joining Russia.[70]

“Russia needs to take , as a buffer, the range of western supplied missiles.”

The only ones in recent History to attack Russia have been Muslims and Russia welcomes them in.
