When the Bush Administration created the Department of Homeland Security in 2003, they made a mistake in not giving the new Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which used to the the I.N.S. (or Immigration and Naturalization Service) an official agency letter for its acronym of I.C.E.
The result is that people can’t think of I.C.E. as an “Agency”, an “Administration, a “Bureau”, a “Department” or even a “Service” - in other words an official group of government people with rules and protocols. I.C.E. is “Enforcement”
If I.C.E. had an official agency designation like the ones above, it would be a little harder for the lefties to gather momentum for their protests.
I also think I.C.E. should be broken up into its two components and reformed as separate agencies, one devoted only to Immigration Enforcement (I.E.A. - Immigration Enforcement Agency) and the C.E.A. (Customs Enforcement Agency).

Agreed.
Regular cops are law enforcement officers. On one hand I can see how people might be more at ease with an agency that has an enforcement wing. (Not that it’s any different.)

Who cares, the Bush/Soetoro/Xiden admins did a pathetic job anyway so just as well. They should rename it now as not to be confused with the past, for example the Dept. of War is a perfect example. Submit your own to President Trump when he comes back from Davos.

Yep, I was going to suggest the same. “Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department”, but they only earn the additional letter once they’ve completed their mission of ejecting all of the illegals that Biden let in.
It should just be called the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
