Quoting Badenock, 'It is not for us [the British] to second guess from afar the motives and evidence behind these events.'

Not a clear statement of support.

It looks as though as far as our so-called allies are concerned, they're keeping their distance.

Does this mean 'America First' = 'America on its own'? I would prefer that 'America First' means Europe has primary responsibility for Europe (to include Ukraine) and countries such as the UK (which can hardly defend its home island no less its far-flung overseas territories) had better step up to their responsibilities.

I’m just gonna leave this here:
OneIndia:
“Did Trump strike a secret deal with Putin? New questions over Venezuela
Speculation is growing over whether a secret geopolitical bargain may have taken place between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin — one that could have quietly reshaped power dynamics in both Venezuela and Ukraine. As questions rise over Russia’s muted reaction to Nicolás Maduro’s downfall and U.S. influence expanding in Caracas, analysts are revisiting claims that Moscow may have stepped aside in Venezuela in exchange for leverage in Ukraine. Was Venezuela traded for geopolitical power? Did backchannel negotiations exist?”

This is exactly why the Tories have almost become extinct as a party. They stand for absolutely nothing.

“It’s gonna be like this, Vlad’: we’re gonna split fifty-fifty. Even Steven. I’m gonna get Maduro and Venezuela. You’re gonna get Zelensky and Ukraine. And get this: you even have a head start on me!” —President Donroe

This is what passes as a British leader today...

"Olukemi Olufunto "Kemi" Adegoke was born on 2 January 1980 in Wimbledon, London.[14] Her mother Feyi Adubifa had travelled from Nigeria to the United Kingdom for medical treatment, and gave birth in St Teresa's Maternity Hospital. This was before the British Nationality Act 1981 abolished automatic birthright citizenship for those born in the UK; Feyi then returned to Nigeria shortly after Olukemi was born.[15][16][17][18] In later interviews, Badenoch denied claims she was an "anchor baby" and asserted that her family did not know she was eligible for a British passport until she was a teenager."

usa, I had also posted Farage’s comment on the arrest of Maduro. He said our action was ‘unorthodox’ and probably illegal under international law, but might have been a good thing. That post was taken down. So, neither the UK Reformers nor the UK Conservatives are willing to clearly come out and back us.

We, the U.S., are the world’s only super-power. Only we can be the leader of the free world. But, if our so-called allies relax their guard thinking we will defend them, we are weakened. Our forces are stretched thin to do what our so-called allies should be doing. They too become weak because they become dependent on us for their defense. They become weak both in terms of actual defense capability and in terms of the moral resolve needed to be free in a world in which there is evil.

The intrigue, always the most interesting part.

More intrigue, Douglas MacGregor reports That aerial photos of Ukraine reveal 123,000 fresh graves. Russian soldiers are reporting that many Ukrainians who are surrendering now say they’ve only been on the line for about a week. Ukrainian officers are surrendering because they are encircled and can’t get their wounded out. Rather than let them die, commanders surrender to save their lives.
