Congratulations to the Trump administration on finally ending the Chavez-Maduro regime that has impoverished Venezuela and turned that country into a prison. So what happens next? Pam Bondi says Maduro will “will soon face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts.”
I hope the administration has thought this through carefully. As I understand it, Maduro was indicted several years ago in the Southern District of New York. I don’t know what rules govern venue in a case of this kind, nor do I know whether it is feasible to bring a new set of charges in a different jurisdiction. (Perhaps, unknown to me, this has already happened.)
But I would warn the administration that there is little chance of convicting Maduro in the Southern District of New York, i.e., New York City. Democratic Party jurors would vote to acquit Communism, mass murder, drug trafficking and starving children 100% of the time, simply to spite Donald Trump. Maybe DOJ could get a conviction in Miami, but in New York or, say, Washington D.C.? Highly unlikely, with the Democratic Party on the other side.
I hope the administration will send Maduro back to Venezuela to face justice in his own country. There he will certainly be convicted or, perhaps, simply hung from a lamppost like Mussolini. That would be much preferable to his spending a decade or two in America’s hopeless judicial system, and perhaps emerging as a left-wing hero.
Attorney General Pamela Bondi:
"Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been indicted in the Southern District of New York. Nicolas Maduro has been charged with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States. They will soon face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts. On behalf of the entire U.S. DOJ, I would like to thank President Trump for having the courage to demand accountability on behalf of the American People, and a huge thank you to our brave military who conducted the incredible and highly successful mission to capture these two alleged international narco traffickers."

There’s a federal courthouse in my city......can I volunteer to be on the jury? 🤔
Boasberg will issue a verdict demand8ng that h3 be the judge
One of the charges is possession of machine guns. Did we all know that already unconstitutional gun control laws can be enforced against foreigners living abroad?
Good Lord! What is the chance (risk) that Judge Boasberg will get this case? Must be very close to 1.0.
” I would warn the administration that there is little chance of convicting Maduro in the Southern District of New York”
Fair point.
My take is that indictment gave the US authority to seize Maduro.
A bunch of other charges in other jurisdictions can follow.
He could spend the rest of his life going from courtroom to courtroom all over the country and even in other countries.
Eventually one of the juries and judges will allow him to be convicted and sent to prison.
Bother! Why couldn’t they have done like they did with Manuel Noriega and arraigned them in Miami?
Odd since there are quite a few states where you may possess a machine gun legally. IF you can afford one.
Oh... that's right, never happened.
Maduro’s indictment goes all the way back to 2020.
The leftist judges existed but they were not as crazy back then.
Incorrect. Try again.

Federal judge will have him back in V within a week
worthy of a full studying debate. What happens when Trump is out of office and the Libs TDS is gone? How will Libs react to a world without Trump? It could get spooky.
Would be nice.
America, esp NY, is NOT the place to try a commie/socialist.
He’ll be aquttted and Mandami will appoint him as NYC drug czar.
Why the hell is Trump going after MADURO. He needs to be going after every commie RAT in the so-called Senate and House and have a Sheriff’s Necktie Party on Capitol Hill for every one of them.
Boasberg (or any one of 250 other Federal judges) will, within 24 hours, issue a writ of habeas corpus to produce Maduro in a Federal court of their choosing and will then dismiss the indictments.
Then, maybe we will finally discover who is who and what is what.
