Let me just say it straight. Marjorie Taylor Greene did not walk away from Congress because she is tired of Washington. She walked away because Washington finally caught up to her. Every politician who sells themselves as a warrior for the people should be held to the same standard. So when I see somebody who claims to be America First, claims to be a Christian, claims to be fighting the deep state, and then somehow turns a $700,000 net worth into twenty five million dollars after a few short years in office, I am going to call you out.
I have written about this before. Her finances never made sense. Her behavior never lined up with her branding. And watching her try to read a resignation speech off a teleprompter like some struggling Hollywood actress only confirmed what many of us already knew. This was not a principled stand. This was a political retreat.
.....
I will bet anything she already has it lined up.
Because let’s be honest. Nothing about her numbers add up. This woman did not invent a product. She did not build a business. She did not create value. She went to Congress, stirred up chaos, cheated on her husband by her own ex spouse’s admission, hit the gym like it was a dating app, and somehow ended up with one of the best performing stock portfolios in the entire House.
How? Somebody tell me how.

Long time $upporter of her. I feel betrayed. Not the first time either...
Marg the ho, ho, ho, ...
Ah, jeez. I thought she was a little, well, trashy, but I sure didn’t know a thing about the sudden wealth syndrome.
Something in the D.C. water, must be.
SMH.
When she backed McCarthy, that was the tell tell sign she was in it for Power and Money Not the American people she represented and/or MAGA.

I’m convinced we are ruled by a bunch of psychopaths.
And pedophiles and queers.
Ruled? I don’t want to be ruled, I want to be represented.
She’s like Dick Cheney. I liked him until I didn’t.
Standard Operating Procedure for Congress critters.
We shouldn't expect anything less.
Officer Tatum is a great podcaster to follow.
Clear, straight forward thinking.
She was worth millions before entering Congress because of her ownership share of her family business. The $700k reflects ONLY her stock portfolio.
So, this “report” is conflating her entire net worth including real estate, her family business, AND her stocks compared to just her stocks.
I am no fan of MTG, before when she was a MAGA babe…or now. I don’t like loud mouthed women. (Or men.). But whenever I see articles reporting on the wealth of members of Congress I try to verify where the numbers are coming from. In this case, the numbers are simply presented incorrectly to drive home a very biased point of view.
Welcome to politics in modern America. There are a few good ones out there, the ones who go in with good principles and retain them throughout their career, but they are absolutely the exception to the rule. Most of the people who go to Washington are dirty even before they get there, and they’re going there because that’s where the money is. Others may go in somewhat idealistic and with good intentions, but they get corrupted very quickly. This is just the nature of having that much money concentrated in the hands of so few people who vote on how it gets spent.
The big problem is that we are now spending a third of the GDP at the federal level. Oh, it may be a few points more or less, but at the turn of the 20th century that number was about 3%, and there was still corruption. Now we have roughly 10 or 11 times the incentive for these people to go there and skim a little bit off the top for themselves. That’s what MTG just apparently did. The thing that is most disappointing about this is that she at least represented that she was on our side of the political spectrum, and we harbor the naive view that only the other side is corrupt. The reality is that she was representing herself, no differently than Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein or Barbara Boxer did, whose families got immensely wealthy while they held down jobs paying in the mid-$100,000 range.
People like these are the reason why we need term limits desperately. It is the only possible way to save our republic. Don’t give them enough time to figure out how to skim lots of money off the top, just replace them with somebody else who doesn’t really know and go forward from there. The Roman Republic fell because its senators became just as corrupt as ours. Human And go forward from there. The Roman Republic fell because it’s senators became just as corrupt as ours. Human nature is human nature, and it hasn’t changed in way more than the 2000 years since then.

Clapping madly for you and for your analysis.
It is just the perfect picture when posters show their primary colors.
