This week’s shooting of two National Guard members by a gunman identified by the authorities as an Afghan national was horrific.
But Trump’s response has been disproportionate and bigoted. He vows to “permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries.” He intends to deport legal immigrants born in countries the White House deems “high risk.”

Nothing against those considered Native Americans, and I agree they have been here a long time and weren’t treated well some decades into the time people started coming from Europe etc., but they didnt just spring out of the dirt here, they came from somewhere else and started living here.
And, they weren’t even the first people to inhabit North America. So they were immigrants too.
