MILLIONS Left the Faith Because of This Sneaky Lie Taught in Schools Calvin Smith November 15, 2025 This sneaky lie taught in schools all over the world has caused MILLIONS to abandon the Christian faith… Join me as I expose why evolutionary ideas about rock layers are not only false, but very harmful.

thar = that
- And there is room for grey areas, not just because the earth is fallen but because we as humans are both fallen AND finite. So it’s okay to not have all the answers and that’s why it’s called FAITH.
But if this reality gets lost: the moment someone’s “fixed’ ideas get threatened, it can be easy to lose faith. So yes always hold space for uncertainty and mystery.
“Carbon dating said it was formed millions of years ago.”
The “new land” was not new, impossible for it to be. The volcano belched up stuff from deep in the earth. There cannot be new land, only a reconfigeration.
No, carbon dating was not used to date ash from Mt St Helens.
Radiocarbon dating (carbon-14 dating) only works on things that were once alive.
Here’s why:
The method relies on the isotope carbon-14 (¹⁴C), which is produced in the atmosphere and absorbed by living organisms (plants, animals, humans, etc.) through the food chain.
While an organism is alive, it maintains a constant ratio of ¹⁴C to regular carbon-12 (¹²C), roughly matching the ratio in the atmosphere.
When the organism dies, it stops taking in new carbon, and the ¹⁴C begins to decay at a known rate (half-life of about 5,730 years).
By measuring how much ¹⁴C is left compared to ¹²C, scientists can calculate how long ago the organism died.
A volcano, however animated it may appear to be, doesn’t breathe and was not alive, so carbon dating would never be used on it.
Thank you. See my post above.
Until the 20th century, only a few Christians discussed different beliefs about the age of the earth. And even then, they were mostly respectful to each other (kind of like most discussions about eschatology). After the Scopes trial, young earth creationism became taught as part of the "Us Christians vs worldly scientists" teaching (which I somewhat agree with, since worldly people twist "science" to push their agenda). So, unfortunately, there are some Christians in America who think that an old earth view is heresy.
I believe most scientific minds thot these high school evolution classes were bunk. White and black moths on trees stained with coal dust means nothing in terms of evolution.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that.
Yea that was pretty funny!
A much better explanation than I would have given!
Thanks!
Science has brought us great wonders...
but it has also created an army of liars who will say anything to protect their government grants and contracts and cushy jobs.
The good news is we now have the ability to research any subject we wish—in depth—without leaving our homes.
Folks who are skilled at research on the web—and want to learn—and find people smarter than they are—have never had it better.
My conjecture here and I believe the following: Adam was directly created by God as a Man, Benei Elohim” (בני האלהים) let us suppose he was about 30 years old at his creation, could’ve been younger, probably not older. Everyone else is a ‘Son of Man’ or ‘Son of Adam’, as Jesus legally made sure to point this out often to us for the future Court of Heaven to judge his actions upon.
Adam died (age 930) before he reached the age of “one day” or 1000 years.
1000 years = 1 day looking at the clock on the wall in Heaven,
Meaning he only had about 70 years in total, to still be (in the day)
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that [[in the day]] ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” - Genesis 3:4-5 (emphasis added)
Do the simple math of translating from the days of the glorious Earth with God walking in the Garden (Eden) clothed with light with them to our darkened ‘day’ with a now dead Earth expiring and groaning and waiting to be delivered and we are well beyond the timeline (millions of years) even where this fallen corrupted secular world believes is the age of humans upon the Earth.
Time itself is a construct, where we exist *halfway* in its dimension, we can only move forward and never back, it is a part of our physical creation like a rug or a carpet in the dining room, it can be stretched or pulled depending on your relative location, speed and movement toward or away from it. It is also a part of the seven (7) divided in half as a time, times and *half* a time, (3.5)
Of course all this happened pre-flood, ‘out of the water’ as Peter points out specifically:
“For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing,
that [[one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.]]
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. “ - 2 Peter 3:5-9 (emphasis added)
Nevertheless, I object to the fundamentalist Protestant approach in that it seeks to find and magnify points of apparent friction between their view of Scripture and science and to then demand an endorsement of Scripture. This is wrong-minded in that it deliberately puts faith in opposition to reason and science. Eventually, many of the Protestant teens who adopt Christ based on a strict literal reading of the Bible fall away as they learn that science has the stronger argument based on facts.
Was Adam made from dust? The Protestant view insists that this is literally true instead of being metaphorically and theologically true. Was there a universal flood? There was for Noah's world as he knew it, but there is no credible evidence of a universal, all-consuming flood across the world.
Notably, if the story of Noah's flood is pared down to its most credible essentials, there may be a valid scientific explanation in the form of one or more meteorite impacts that caused an especially devastating regional tsunami in the Persian Gulf. For the Protestant view, it is an uncomfortable fact that the Israelites picked up a pre-existing local story of Noah's flood during their Babylonian captivity.
If the Flood was truly universal and global, where are the stories and evidence of such universal flooding in Egypt, Palestine, and elsewhere? Why is the Biblical account set in the Persian Gulf?
The most coherent explanation for these anomalies is that the people of Israel adopted a compelling account of a devastating regional flood and saw it as having deeper religious significance. The story was then shaped to fit that purpose and added to the Bible.
Is man descended from apes? From fossils to DNA, the connection between man and apes is factually well-established. Yet that physical connection does not contradict or diminish the profound difference between man and ape in the human soul and in man's unique relationship with God. Those cannot be explained by evolution.
Notably, modern physics treats consciousness as integral to existence. The sum of accounts of near death experience lend credence to the view of the human soul as surviving death in a spiritual realm under the guidance and control of of a loving universal spiritual power. God the Father, if you will.
It helps to recognize and keep in mind that the Bible is a literary and religious text of the highest order but is not a scientific text. With that in mind, the best approach is to seek to harmonize faith and science, not set them as opponents.
Correct. I remember reading the Oregonian after that eruption. They quoted a geologist who said we had just witnessed 10,000 of geological changes.
Psalm 90:4, also cited in II Peter 3:8, states that to God, a thousand years is like a day. However, that is from a divine perspective, not a human one. Psalm 90 emphasizes the omnipotence of God. To carry this interpretation into trying to change the concept of "day" is a stretch.
That being said, the doctrine of creation is a secondary one compared to key doctrines like sola gratia, solus Christus, and sola fide.
“modern physics treats consciousness as integral to existence”
Modern physics is a big hot mess:

Catholics had zero problem teaching Creationism and evolution. Believing in one does not make the other false. It all gets down to timelines. If you believe in a very young Earth then you can’t accept evolution. If you believe in a very old Earth, then God could work his miracles via evolution. Catholics accept both Gods hand in creation and a very old Earth.
Both Fundamentalist Christian and Public Schools have their drawbacks. And not sure about stats, but anecdotally, it seems the former “foundation” leads to loss of faith just as much too…
Thank you for admitting that you (and Catholic schools) believe the Hebrew Bible is mythology.
There is some mythology. There is also a lot of very good history and even better philosophy on how we should live our lives. The Bible is not one book handed down from God although may of its lessons are from God IMHO. Accept it from what it is.
No scientist says man descended from apes. What they said is thy had a common ancestor in the past. Big difference.
ok. fair. i don’t believe that either.
soul triumphs DNA.
Silver is one of the best antibiotics known. It was used historically in food handling. Silver ions released in fluids inhibit bacterial growth. It is used in astronaut water supply in filters as it suppresses bacterial growth. It is used in creams and ointments for burn patients. Silver eye drops were used historically to prevent blindness in newborns. Was effective against gonorrhea. Other antibiotics are used now, but some may reserve its use as second line.
Drinking much colloidal silver to cure infection is hard to prove...maybe someday they will find a carrier molecule that escorts a silver ion to the bacteria only.
