I think those of us following this knew something devastating had happened since his wife was very pregnant.
This is so sad to hear..
Prayers to the Vesia family 🙏🏻

It’s wonderful that the Vesias have their priorities properly aligned.

Yesterday, the Dodgers picked up Alex’s 2026 contract option, so we’ll be looking forward to seeing him next season.

Yes sounds like you’re right :(
Just awful as she was so close to term
I was a nervous wreck with my one, only child.
I was high risk, I had one of those fetal monitors so could hear his heartbeat every night, morning.
Ended up spending a week after planned c-section in NICU due to undeveloped lungs. The scariest time of my life. So many mixed emotions & then seeing, hearing the families of babies that were not doing so well. It was heartbreaking.
Those NICU nurses, doctors are angels on earth.

My sister ended up having a son two yrs after losing her baby girl..and fortunately last year she got pregnant with a baby girl, she is now 19 months old, our miracle girl. With that pregnancy she was high risk so she went to Kaiser twice a week to get monitors put on to check how she was doing it was 9 months of nonstop worrying but it paid off she gave birth to her at 38 weeks(It was planned that way) so the doc didnt want to take any chances

So are the ones in the regular ICU. When I was in the hospital for near kidney failure after my cancer diagnosis (bad rection to the chemo), they were all angels to me and I told them so many times.

You have a choice between the World Series and your daughter.

He chose well. I mourn for him and his family.

Our daughter gave birth to her first 8 days ago and it was also at 38 weeks (also planned due to mom’s blood pressure problems). Our grandson had jaundice (treated with UV light) and an infection after that (IV antibiotics the past couple days). He and mom got discharged just this afternoon and are home again! We keep praying everything is good. He’s gaining weight, responded well to the antibiotics, and his color is good.

I know what you mean about nonstop worrying.

I’m so glad your niece is doing well!
