That is exactly why the 2nd Amendment exists. No other reason.
Those people actually do feel misrepresented in government right now.
A republic is supposed to be a government through elected representatives who come together to make laws through compromise. In actual practice, it has become "winner take all". Our Republic now works as a crippled democracy. It was never intended to work that way. An elected representative is supposed to represent even those in his district who did not vote for him.
