It seems to really bother Julia Reinstein of New York magazine's The Cut section that there could be even the slightest hint of thought diversity among the late night talk show hosts on television. Her ire on this matter was directed towards Jimmy Fallon, not so much because he demonstrated any sympathy for the Trump administration but because he seemed to exhibit insufficient hostility towards the President.
You can see Reinstein's irked attitude over Fallon's lack of perceived antipathy towards Trump right in the first paragraph of her story on Monday, "Jimmy Fallon Doesn’t Want to Be ‘That Political’."

Good for Jimmy. He seems far more “likeable” than the other late night clowns. I’m sure he’s not a Trump fan, but the smart people keep political opinio s to themselves or make fun of both sides.
Maybe Fallon was the first to stop clapping at a Mamdani speech?

Curious what “sit shiva” is doing in that sentence? Is it because the (so called) comedians are Jewish? Or Reinstein? Or the author of the article.
I suspect she’s trying to say that Fallon wasn’t honoring his comrades late-show “deaths” enough by not attacking Trump more.
Fallon, Colbert, and Kimmel are all Catholic. If the Jews want them they can have them.
Or perhaps we should sit shiva for your humor awareness?

They hate Trump because they are told to hate Trump. Ask them WHY and they go blank. All they do is regurgitate leftist “talking points”(ie, lies) or call you a racist. There is no appeasement, no reconciliation, and frankly no compatibility with our cultures. If the left has chosen the alphabet community as the hill they will die on, then let that be their epitaph.

Fallon did do a nice interview with Greg Gutfeld a few weeks back. And took a lot of heat for it.
I get the part where Kimmel’s suspension doesn’t really require a funeral. Hahahah.
I’m wondering about the use of the term “sit shiva,” which I had to look up. The joke uses Jewish terms because that’s what the author is familiar with even though his readers might have to look it up? Or because Reinstein is Jewish? Or is it Kimmel?
Jimmy Fallon is just not that funny when he does stand up.He’s mp Carsom or Leno. But he is old school in that he tries to stay out of the political wars.
Fallon apparently has a modicum of common sense.

I recognize that he tries to throw a bone to the Left by making Trump jokes. I did not think he was sincere in making them but he had to do that to appease his bosses and fans.
If you want to call those three losers comedians. Kinda not fair to lump them in with Seinfeld. Not even Carrot Top.
