Either DMV screwed up or there is more to your story. My California son-in-law was told he needed to put the front plate on his car by the police. And every time I go to Cali everyone has a front plate.

In PA we have one plate in the back, you wouldn’t believe some of the weirdness people put on the front.

I thought the drivers of the vehicles were the dangerous weapons.

I have walked past thousands of vehicles during my visits to stores and other places, and none of those parked vehicles made threats at me. Guess I'll have to check more closely.

Survivorship Bias
This lawyer is a fine lawyer and you will truly learn from him, about the specific cases and laws with which he is dealing.
HOWEVER! His channel, just like many others, does not trade in successful LEO encounters.
You only hear about this because the officer’s behavior was incorrect.
He sometimes will point this out in some of his videos.
You become energized even outraged over something the very nature of which is rare.
Selection Bias
There are many channels featuring defense attorneys. Never did one of them post a video about how as a stupid defense attorney he got his client convicted!
There are no cop channels showing stupid felons getting arrested normally and being convicted through good police work.

I have noticed this bias, which is found on other Youtube channels such as Lackluster, so I don't post too many of these. Another such channel, Audit the Audit, mostly focuses on police misconduct, but will sometimes commend cops for correct behavior and call out those they are encountering

There are a number of channels that side with police in their encounters with "First Amendment auditors," aka "frauditors," who walk into libraries, schools, police stations, etc. armed with cameras or cellphones and start filming away. NCR News Network, Frauditor Troll, and First Amendment Shenanigans are some of my favorites of this genre on Youtube.
