Paranoid Cop Mistakes Gas Pump for Pistol

This police officer with the Leon County (Florida) Sheriff's Office is so paranoid, that he sees a guy (Robert) parked at a gas pump, with a gas pump in his hand, trying to pump some gas, and he immediately thinks it's something else in his hand. He gets scared. He pulls into the gas station, gets out of his police cruiser and draws down on the guy, shouting at him.

[W]hen you screw up like this cop did then you have committed a felony. That citizen was clearly in danger of death or grave bodily harm and would have been fully justified in defending himself with lethal force.

Either DMV screwed up or there is more to your story. My California son-in-law was told he needed to put the front plate on his car by the police. And every time I go to Cali everyone has a front plate.

In PA we have one plate in the back, you wouldn’t believe some of the weirdness people put on the front.
