Insane.
Seems like incentivizing the murder of LDS members.
Charlie Kirk’s wife forgave the assassin.
Guess this is one step up.
Certainly turning the other cheek...giving them your cloak as well.
The killer was mentally ill. Can see someone having sympathy for them but seems soon.
If you’re ever lost, destitute ,in trouble in a strange place, look for the Mormons. They have incredible social support networks.
What do you expect from a religion that started with pedophiles.
Idiots. If anything, this stupidity will motivate another lunatic to go grab a gun. After all, what family couldn’t use an extra $110,000?
The Amish embraced the family of the man who killed their little schoolgirls 20 years ago.
They recognized the double grief - that the family lost a loved one and that the loved one had committed a great evil.

“I’m sending you out as lambs among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.”
- Matthew 10:16
Too many good people forget the “shrewd” part.
This is amazing. The Amish did the same thing for the widow of the lunatic that killed several little Amish schoolgirls.
It turned out to help a lot of people get through it.

Oh I remember that.
But I was already down with the Amish b/c they all turned out to vote for Trump!
Well, we do not always have control over the actions of others in our family.
Myself, I would not probably have done it, but perhaps they know something we don't.
Granted, Erika Kirk forgave her husband's killer, but that does not excuse him, exempt him from justice, either here on earth or in front of God on Judgment Day. All it does is mean she's not holding him answerable to HER for what he did.
Forgiving someone sets us free from being bound to the offender for the wrong they did to us. It doesn't absolve them in the least.
That said, raising this kind of money so soon, does give the appearance of incentivizing more of the same.
Mormons are weird.
Forgive us our trangressions as we forgive those who transgress against us. It is Scriptural and an important part of the Lord’s Prayer. If we don’t forgive others, how can we expect God to forgive us? He will deal with our transgressors’ punishment, but we are not supposed to hang on to hatred/bitterness over what others have done to us.
Yes, and right after the Lord’s Prayer Jesus says that if we don’t forgive others... God won’t forgive us!
Rarely hear that preached about though.
How does the author know the donors are LDS?
100% correct
🔝🔝
Yes and it is something I am working on being able to do. For an offense that heinous, if it happened to me, I would have much more work to do.
Redeem the time.
