I read words like “shadowy” and “investigation” and “wicked” while wading through this very long post, but at the end of the day Singham is an American.

As repulsive as his views are, we don’t allow the government to seize the assets of Americans without so much as a formal accusation. It is disappointing that two representatives would propose such heavy-handed authoritarianism.

You read a long GP post but did you go right to the source to see what Luna and Comer actually said?

Comer and Luna:

"We write today to request that the U.S. Department of Treasury and any relevant component thereof immediately undertake a formal evaluation to determine the applicability of federal sanctions laws and any other civil remedies or criminal penalties enforced by Treasury—to include the freezing or seizure of assets—with respect to certain far-left entities, organized and funded by Neville Roy Singham. It is imperative that we expeditiously halt the continued flow of funds and material support for malign activities conducted at the behest of the CCP,”

It's "disappointing" that you accuse Luna and Comer of "heavy-handed" authoritarianism when all they were asking is that Treasury formally evaluate the applicability of federal freezing and seizure laws to combat Chinese Communist Party efforts to sow discord in the United States.
