I left the Democratic Party because I could no longer deny its own authoritarian tendencies or its corrosive impact on our culture and public trust. Party activists have adopted an identitarian ideology that cultivates a noxious sense of grievance, entitlement, and nihilism, fueling divisiveness in everyday life as well as outbursts of political violence.
To win back voters like me, Democrats would have to be humble enough to actually learn from their mistakes so they can earn back the trust they’ve destroyed.
Though Trump’s own poll numbers remain underwater, Democrats’ numbers remain even worse, because they refuse to acknowledge or address the problems they’ve caused for everyone. Their COVID policies cost millions of people their livelihoods and educational opportunities, while their censorious approach to divergent views on the virus and mRNA technology shattered faith in public health officials.

There’s no doubt when she goes into the voting booth, she’ll hit the Dem straight ticket just like she always has.
In the voting booth, that fear goes away.
It’s always comforting that crazy isn’t a terminal condition for all Democrats. Grateful for every one of them that comes to see the light, by whatever path they take to get there.
God knows who votes for abortionists. At least we don’t have that hanging over our heads when we pass on like this guy still has, unless he repents and that’s if he even thinks to do so.

My thoughts are along those lines as well. I’ve seen very few people in my long life who truly changed from bad to better. Mostly, they just pretended to be better people until whatever was happening blew over. Then, back to whatever evil they were up to before. Once I’ve seen someone do something evil, I write them out of my life. It’s not worth the risk of betrayal of keeping them in your life and hoping they don’t do something bad again. Abusive people follow the hurt you, apologize, hurt you pattern. I won’t play their game.
