Breanna Morello @BreannaMorello 🚨SHOCKING🚨
FBI agents delayed showing a photo of the Charlie Kirk assassination suspect to their boss, Director Kashyap Patel, for 12 hours, according to the NYT.
In an online Thursday morning meeting with about 200 agents, Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino sharply criticized the agents, with Patel stating he would not tolerate further “Mickey Mouse operations.”
I have questioned Patel and he has many defenders here on FR.
Pam Bondi is another big disappointment.
Trump has valued political help/loyalty/positioning during campaign over competence too many times. Bolton, for one. Sessions. Goes on and on.
“Thank you for helping me get elected and here’s your do-nothing job while we get someone competent to do these all-important jobs in my administration.”
Patel reminds me of Sessions. Clueless.
You two seem to think there was, within seconds, a ring of law enforcement surrounding the Kirk event site. sheeesh
This was not a gov’t secured site. They had six security men for close-in monitoring and most importantly NO overhead drone.
The fact that Robinson was able to get off the roof and run into a nearby neighborhood and to his waiting car is not at all unusual, nor are federal or state LEO at fault.
This was the moment to step up, but Patel didn’t seem to be in charge. And to soil the memory of Christian Charlie Kirk with his paganistic nonsense was insulting.
“Patel didn’t seem to be in charge.”
He looked absolutely weird. That was not the bold Kash Patel from older War Room days. His appointment was a mistake, IMO.
I don’t disagree with you - but I don’t think I’d want to work for Trump, either.
Yeah Blondi’s another piece of work. Mexico captures a cartel guy and turns him over to the US. The guy pleads guilty and gets life and Blondi holds a press conference reading the guy’s resume and acts like she did something.
The two of them are feckless.
RIGHT now.
Pronto.
Yes. I suppose they’re the “honorable” ones.
Wonderful idea.
Donald Trump might be President, but nothing has changed in the alphabet agencies since they were organized.
“An office in Utah, or in Washington DC?”
I assume Utah. In the presser, didn’t someone say that the local FBI was on the scene in 15 minutes? I think I heard that.
These are sick bastards.
Your mind wanders when in a situation where you don’t see a capture immediately then there is a chance the person might get away.
The shooter got to St. George, Utah, it’s only 150 miles or so to Las Vegas on the Interstate, what happens if the guy drives on to Las Vegas, catches a plane and is in another part of the country or out of the country before the FBI releases the pictures of the suspect which is the allegation of the article posted.
He has not been aggressive enough. Should have taken Elon Musk's advice. 300,000 federal employees resigning/retiring is not sufficient.
As much as people want to go on about how this guy should have been caught and about how Charlie Kirk should have had more security, the fact of the matter is that nobody really thought he was going to be shot by a sniper in utah.
Yes he may have worn a vest and he had security and that’s great but nobody really thought somebody was going to put a hit out on Charlie kirk. He was very important and very prominent but he was seen as a positive figure in most ways.
while I feel terrible about his assassination he simply was not the president or vice president or Secretary of State and he had private security.
As for not being able to get away, Oswald or whoever else shot Kennedy got away.
Stuff happens, especially because the shooter was 200 yd away he wasn’t near the crowd or near the victim.
Through a whole variety of means, he was caught quickly. Much more quickly than I would have expected.
Patel was put in place to BREAK things.
Obviously, he has not been demonstrative enough.
He’s been in place for six months, he should have broken enough things for there to be fear of consequences.
If this reporting is true, and that is a big if considering the source, then these traitors had NO fear of consequences.
Fear of consequences is another name for discipline.
Without discipline the military is nearly useless, as is law enforcement entities.
Our public school system is pretty much an utter failure for lack of discipline.
C’mon Kash, put some fear in the folk who need to understand there is a new sheriff in town.
Fire the bastardly Obonzo Butt Buddies.
Very likely.
