Iryna wasn’t armed, for whatever reason. Although it might not have done her any good ... situational awareness is paramount.
There exist people in this world who hate you because of your light-colored skin, who view that as sufficient reason to kill you, and are more than willing to act on that hate.
I’m beyond infuriated. You can see the innocence in her eyes. She never thought she was sitting down among savage vermin. She thought they were just misunderstood and harmless.
Not that it would’ve helped in a surprise attack like this, but it exemplifies what our government has done to us by not allowing people to defend themselves and punishing them if they attempt to.

The infuriating part for me was the large woman who was sitting across from her. She just got up and left. The other people around her kinda just sat there doing nothing.
