It must have been a frustrating interview for Associated Press Supreme Court and legal affairs reporter Mark Sherman. He was interviewing Justice Amy Coney Barrett about her new book and he could barely get a word out of her on the subject uppermost in his mind: President Donald Trump.
This frustration was reflected in the title of his AP story on Monday, "In new memoir, Supreme Court Justice Barrett reflects on historic cases, is largely silent on Trump."
Despite the fact that Trump was rarely mentioned in her book, Sherman tried to get Barrett to comment on the one who appears to be on his mind 24/7. Oh how he tried!

She is acting as a Judge and declining to discuss current and future plaintiffs and defendants who may come before her. That’s the way you do it!
I think the Supreme Court has recently reverted to GOOD 6-3 decisions because KBJ is such an annoying LOON that she alienated all of the “moderate” justices.
By the time Trump’s term is up the media can be contacted at Hotel California.
The Hotel better stock up on jackets with straps and wall padding.
That does seem to be a factor in recent decisions. She has become a legal and intellectual embarrassment to them.
She was one of the biggest mistakes Trump made.

The Constitution is not a perfect document, and there are things I wish were different. But the Supreme Court isn't supposed to make it "better". They're supposed to interpret it as is, "flaws" and all
Justices are supposed to be politically neutral. It’s entirely proper that her book did not promote, denounce or gush over Trump. Too bad our urinalists are so ignorant of basic civics.
