TAMPA, Fla. — During a press conference on Thursday in Tampa alongside Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister who announced the dismantling of a diesel theft ring, Attorney General James Uthmeier announced legal action tied to a separate case involving a fatal semi-truck crash “caused by an illegal alien licensed in another state,” according to a release from the AG’s office.

Ulthmeier said his office has issued a criminal subpoena to the Ceres, California-based company White Hawk Carriers, who is the employer of Harjinder Singh.

Ulthmeier said his office also issued legal demands to California and Washington for their role in issuing the commercial driver’s license, according to a press release from the Florida AG’s office.

Uthmeir also announced on Aug. 25 that Florida’s agricultural law enforcement and state police are now using the state’s agricultural inspection stations (also known as interdiction stations) as “strongholds of immigration enforcement.”

“States like California and Washington ignored the rules, gave an illegal alien a license to drive a 40-ton truck, and three people are dead as a result. (This was a) preventable tragedy due to sanctuary state policies,” Uthmeier said.

Singh is facing three counts of vehicular homicide in Florida after he allegedly made an illegal U-turn that caused a crash tha killed three people.

On August 12, 2025, Harjinder Singh, allegedly made an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike near Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County. His trailer jackknifed, blocking the northbound lanes, leading to a collision with a minivan, killing all three people inside. Singh, who faces three manslaughter charges and three counts of vehicular homicide, was extradited to the St. Lucie County Jail and denied bond. He faces up to 90 years in prison before deportation.

Apparently, this driver had commercial licenses from California and Washington, which along with New Mexico do not require English knowledge. It is of course questionable whether the driver who blocked the whole interstate with his uturn actually went to trucker school or passed the licensing tests.

Hopefully, Florida and the federal government will actually do something about illegal aliens with fake commercial licenses.

IMO, I am 100% for booting all illegal aliens out of the country, it’s also really important to prosecute those employers who knowingly are employing illegal labor.

The raid in Georgia at the Hyundai plant is a prime example, the companies that hired the over 400 illegals need to be investigated and prosecuted.

If you don’t prosecute these people, there is no incentive to stop the practice going forward.

Indian national Harjender Singh, was “licensed” to drive a truck in California but failed a mandatory English Language Proficiency assessment required for commercial drivers.

This means he should NOT have been driving a commercial truck, even with a license, and raises questions about how he passed the licensing tests without meeting the language requirement, and whether his employer, White Hawk Carriers, conducted proper due diligence before hiring him.

It is not just illegal aliens, but they have commercial drivers licenses without passing the test, apparently by paying off people at the DMV. I don’t understand how companies like that get liability insurance. Truck accidents result in big verdicts / settlements because the company has funds and they have high limits of liability plus the trucks can do a lot of damage. In any case, they are totally violating several laws and endangering the public.

I think it’s possible Mr. Singh the driver didn’t have a clue about any of this being against the law beyond entering the country as an illegal. Someone or some group had to engineer the license and the job opening. He’s not the only one either.

He’ll go to jail but there are more guilty people than him in this.

Good. Throw them in prison.

People and companies who hire illegal aliens need PRISON TIME.

Someone or some group had to engineer Singh’s illegal truck license and the lucrative job opening. He’s not the only one either. He’ll go to jail but there are more guilty people than him in this.

Collusion by the “Indian nationals” ...... many of them got lucrative truck driving jobs taken from Americans which require licenses ......all of this without knowing enough English to read road signs.

Some illegals are equipped with a vest that holds their cell phone and then the camera is looking thru a hole in their shirt. When taking the test, a translator is elsewhere giving the alien the answers via ear pods.

I have been to India where “Might makes right” is the rule of the road for truckers. They will run smaller vehicles off the road. Saw it many times.

Rode on buses from Delhi to Jaipur to Pushkar to Agra to Benares. Learned to ride in the back of the bus so I would not see all the near head on collisions!

Cheap thrills with third world travel!

White Hawk Carriers Inc., the carrier that employed Department of Homeland Security-dubbed “illegal alien” driver Harjinder Singh at the time of his triple-fatal Florida turnpike crash, has been shut down after a national media firestorm.

As of Wednesday, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s SAFER system snapshot for the company showed its operating authority as “Not Authorized.”

The move follows Department of Transportation and DHS leadership bashing state licensing and enforcement practices, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ work with the feds, and longtime anti-freight fraud vigilante Dale Prax’s direct communications with FMCSA.

White Hawk was already flagged as “pending cancellation,” as it was 30 days before the end date on the company’s insurance policy, according to Prax. Prax regularly researches companies with motor carrier and broker authority in his work at FreightValidate.

“Just coincidentally, Great West was about to cancel the policy on August 19,” as that was the renewal date, he said. “Great West decided not to renew” White Hawk’s policy after the deadly crash on August 12.

But sometimes things like insurance renewals get lost in the mail, and for that reason FMCSA waits three days after the renewal date before shutting off authority if it doesn’t receive confirmation of renewal.

He is here illegally. He is not a USA citizen hence his only ‘rights’ are to not be shot in sight.

He is now a murderer. He has now forfeited any perceived ‘rights’ the left can conjure up including his right to live. Why is he not swinging from a nearby oak tree?

Yes, boot every last illegal out and then go after the ones who were rubber stamped. Imprison those agents who did the stamping. That’s the same as an out of control auto pen.

BINGO! Without a source of cash (employers or govt handouts) most illegals would never have came here in the first place.
