Canadian Police Chief Tells Residents to "Comply" with Home Invaders

Is the chief a criminal? Sorry, my house is protected by Colt, Smith, Wesson, Luger, Beretta, Winchester and Springfield. Some might be four legged, some are guns.

In other words, Canada doesn’t protect private property. Anyone can take it, but you get the bill for maintenance and taxes.

“Compliance is actually not bad advice if your home is invaded.”

Braindead advice.

The same mentality in the UK. Even “waving a knife” at an intruder has more legal consequences than the person doing B&E.

The problem is, it comes from a very naive assumption; the person intruding is ONLY there to “take stuff”. Why do they deserve that benefit of the doubt? MY ASSUMPTION is that, as you’ve already proven you’re a criminal willing to break laws, you’ll break other laws - like HARMING ME. Why stop at “taking stuff”?

Why should I assume you’re not going to rape my wife and daughter? Then kill us? I’m going to assume the worst, which means I’m going to do whatever it takes to resolve the situation.

The only thing this policy accomplishes is to ENCOURAGE criminal behavior.

Yet another reason Alberta and Saskatchewan may end up as States of the United States.

What difference should ‘only taking stuff’ matter? It’s your stuff. You worked for it, and it belongs to you. You should have just as much right to protect your property as you do your life. That’s just the progressive’s way of using the language to disarm you. “Well, it’s only stuff. That’s no reason to use deadly force.” BS, it’s my stuff and as someone said, how do you know when someone breaks in their only intent is take ‘stuff’. I have a right to keep my ‘stuff’.

Like Washington DC, Canadian government supports criminals over residents. Why is that?

I read a book on Home Defense back around 1967. It said every home should have a hardened “SAFE ROOM” to gather the family if someone breaks in. Also a second phone line if the first is cut. No cell phones then.
You will not believe the self defense they suggested!
If the invader tries to break into the SAFE ROOM, take a pair of scissors, break it apart and tape one sharp section to a broom handle.
Guns or any weapons for defense were never mentioned.
Years ago the robber would say “YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE!”
It has now been “YOUR MONEY AND YOUR LIFE!”

CALL 911!
CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT!
CALL A PIZZA!

See which one gets there first.

If I remember my history, before there were “Peelers”(cops) the crime control was in the hands of the local Militias,(National Guard)

In 1822, Sir Robert Peel was appointed Home Secretary. He would become closely associated with penal reform in Britain. He is remembered especially for the formation of the Metropolitan London Police Force in 1829. Police constables were called ‘bobbies’ or ‘peelers’ in reference to Peel.
