No no no… I do NOT want my health information in a centralized database accessibly by any government agency that could weaponize it.
A lot of sensitive government systems have been hacked as well.
Remember when millions of government employee files, from people who applied for security clearances were hacked?
I recall getting notice of that one. What a treasure trove for the Chinese!
Insanity.
“”Is this a good idea? What if your cell phone is stolen?””
Who needs to steal them. Aren’t cell phones hacked and spyed on all the time? Nothing will remain ‘private’, thanks to this idiot. He’s going around making changes just to be making changes (ego). All change is NOT an improvement.
So phones are a bad idea.
Or maybe RFK Jr's 14 year heroin addiction.
“I don’t use my cell phone for anything but calls and occasional text messages. I do no transactions, no email, nothing else on it at all.”
And your point is?
You already can... As far as I know your records have to be available through your “portal” by law. Your portal can be accessed by computer or cellphone... It is part of the records keeping laws in Obamacare.
Now if we could just get the new doctor to read the records from the old doctor and not make you go through tons of new tests that would be nice. I do not even know why they keep them, hospitals and new doctors never even look at them, they don’t care, it is always all new testing all over again. Even if you just had those yesterday and they are in your records... It is a scam to prop up the pockets of the industry...
“Didn’t Obamacare already force a lot of centralization of health care records?”
Yes...
You can’t even get doctors to send records to another doctor - you have to go by and pick them up and carry them yourself. I can’t believe they’ll make the process any easier. And the logins are a complete pain.
On the other hand, for security reasons, this seems like a really stupid idea. I don’t even put banking apps on my phone; why would I put medical apps there?
I used to live in El Paso...
Good and cheap healthcare was available across the river in Juarez.
Most of my medical records are somewhere in Mexico I guess..
My old MD that I generally used passed during the covid mess.
Not sure if the virus got him or if it was the vax...sad
El Paso used to be a nice place :-/
It was a horror when Hillary pushed for this. If they access and consolidate all of our health records without our permission, they have it as a control mechanism over us all.
What is the govt doing with my health records? They’re records of MY health.
I suspect they already have them.
(You can’t even get doctors to send records to another doctor)
That much is true. I had to deal with that scenario 9 years ago.

Most people already can.
I will always claim to be inept with any personal required info on my phone. I want to see the whites of their eyes when discussing my health.
If not stopped, you will be seeing a robot soon.

Uh-huh.
All other more important matters handled. (NOT)
