This is just one of those things that I can't even get my head around. Sure, there have been strange political ideas before- global warming and climate change comes to mind. But at least that has a somewhat attractive-though misguided premise- that we need to make sure the earth is well taken care of.

But allowing your own country to be invaded by muslims, and then accommodating them in their backward and harmful customs and traditions-at the sake of the safety of your own, native-born people is something I can't even begin to understand. How do people like Starmer get in power, and how do they stay in power?

True enough, as Sinn Fein is presently a communist organization. A better model would be under the early Irish Republic, where, under Eamon de Valera, the government strove for ending dependence on Britain and developing domestic alternatives to British products. They were a little tough on those Protestants that remained in the Irish Republic, but they were certainly hostile to any significant non-Irish immigration. It wasn't until Ireland joined the European Union in the 1970s that that nation slipped from its traditionalist, Catholic founding and gradually became a secularist, socialistic country.
