Wait. Is a co-Deputy the same as a Deputy, or does he answer to the Deputy? Not sure I’ve heard of such a thing.

Several of the major agencies have several deputies who answer to the Cabinet Secretary at the top, as Kash is of the FBI. The Pentagon has five or six (called undersecretaries of defense) who answer to the SecDef, for one instance.

Thanks. I was just a little curious about the title "co-Deputy" as I don't ever remember hearing it specifically used as a title in a government office. In common usage, one top official usually command one or more Deputies (as in law enforcement and some fire departments), but never, as far as I know, "co-Deputies".
