Funny you should mention that. I had grown up going to many MLB games as a kid (a frequent-favorite activity of our church youth group.) In 1994, just a few years after graduating high school, I saw a bunch of rich guys complaining about not getting paid enough for playing a game . At that moment, I decided that they never needed another penny from me.
Every once in a while, I feel the slight urge to take the family to a game. It seems like a fun distraction for a few hours. But, then, I remember 1994 and the urge passes ;-)
No, they didn’t. I gave up on them then and haven’t looked back. I grew up playing baseball and played 7 years of Pee Wee ball. Baseball was different back then. Agres 6-12 played on the same teams.
Now I don’t watch even the World Series. I went to a minor league game last year for the first time since the 90’s.
