Video from WSPA TV, Spartenburg, SC: A high school football program is facing uncertainty after an alleged assault involving student athletes during an off-campus training camp. Officials say the altercation could lead to serious consequences, including suspensions or expulsion.
As investigations continue, school leaders stress that all student rights will be protected. Law enforcement and youth justice officials have also been notified. Here's what we know so far. Video at link

Fortunately, for the victim, the crime happened in a different county than the one the high school is located in. It looks like the school and the coach were trying to hide it.
> It is reported that the attacking players are “stars” of the team. <
So a smokescreen will go up.
I taught in an inner city high school for many years. One of my colleagues told me this story. He was working the metal detector at the school’s entrance. And he caught a student trying to bring a pistol into the school.
What happened to the kid? Well, nothing. The principal made that decision. The police weren’t even called. And that’s because the kid was the starting quarterback.
I guess the school’s won/lost record was more important than staff and student safety.
The victim was smart enough to set up his phone and get the whole unprovoked, racist, attack on film.
Imagine if a black player was viciously attacked by white players on a 4-1 attack.
That is just a news video, where is the attack?
Here you go.
I got the video and an update. These players will only sit out for ONE game: (X)
Apparently, very strong football program in a school district that takes their sportsball very seriously.
“Imagine if a black player was viciously attacked by white players on a 4-1 attack.”
Don’t have to imagine it.
Remember the Lacrosse team at Duke?
I see something that hasn’t changed during the last 55 years, whites tend to see fighting as a one on one, while blacks attack individuals as a group, it was even the norm in the military 55 years ago.
We’d never hear the end of it.
It is one thing for males to fight one another. It is quite another thing to sucker punch guy and then have three others join in the beat down. It is outrageous that the, at least, the sucker puncher is not 100% kicked off the team and the others suspended for multiple games.
Not much any single person can do against a group. What's also problematic is that other teammates were apparently aware of what might go down, and just walked away. The fact that the school or the school board doesn't see much wrong with it, through their inaction, says all you need to know.
In my big Texas football high school, we football players were the good guys, protecting the weak and special ed from the hoods and the bullies, we would have gone hard on a group of ours ganging up on a guy.
This is what blacks do
You grow up around them as I did u learn
But back then we fought them without hesitation
Now they see most white guys as weak
They are buff and unsportsmanlike
But they ain’t all that
A wood who has game can handle em
Buff uptown with skinny legs
Which was all a lie and made the players rich.
That sort of thing is why I am against school districts having their own mini police departments. If you need in-school officers, the school district should have to get them thru the county sheriff’s department - so if anything goes bad, like that, an elected sheriff in on the line.
This will go the way of the Cincin.. attack — the chief copper (DEI) and mayor have agreed that the white folks provoked the attack and deserved what they got.
They pulled a Roberts approach — can’t enforce the law ‘cause that might cause riots. So, the enemies of civilization win.
