Amid the Watergate scandal, the Senate Committee investigating the incident subpoenaed taped recordings of President Richard Nixon’s White House conversations.
On July 23, 1973, Nixon refused to surrender the tapes, kicking off a year-long legal battle.
It ended with the Supreme Court ruling that he must hand over 3,700 hours of recordings.

Watergate was a Deep State op to remove a President, from beginning to end. They tried the same thing in 2015-2020, but in that time there were more than 3 TV channels and two newspapers, and Walter Cronkite was dead.
If Nixon had been a Democrat the media would have never reported on the break in.
