Actual peace in the world would collapse the Military Industrial Complex and a large portion of the US economy.
Pray for endless wars???

LOL, yes world peace would mean the end of militaries and borders, and even police and locked front doors I guess, we would all live in harmony and sharing.

What military-industrial complex?
You don’t know what you’re talking about.

That military-industrial complex has given our war fighters the technology and equipment to be victorious on the battlefield - when our stupid politicians allow it to be victorious.

Put yourself in a last generation fighter when your adversary is hosing away at you with their latest generation fighter and tell me that the military-industrial complex is a bad thing.

Peace through strength.

No matter what, there will be upstarts and neer’do-wells in the world (Iran, N. Korea, China, Russia), so having a strong military is a must, at all times. Maybe not millions people strong, especially with the advent of the drone warfare going on today (and in the future) - but technological advantage is going to be a must.
