Fair point. Jails and prisons represent an improvement in one’s standard of living. Especially in Communist strongholds like Nuevo York and Aztlan. I mean Commiefornia.

As I understand it, the origin of prisons came from exiling people. However, in landlocked areas there was no way to keep people out, so the idea of exiling people turned into prisons.
We should exile some of our criminals to Canada!

Keeping thugs separated from law abiding citizens is enough reason in my book.
If they were to abolish prisons and jail for everyone, I could have one hell of a time taking care of business. I mean think about it, the good upstanding people in this country, without the threat of being arrested or doing jail or prison time, could clean the vermin from this land.

Nah, they would still have prisons for otherwise law-abiding citizens trying to defend themselves.
