This is all for show. You wouldn’t leave that building out that door with a box without the guards stopping them and checking the boxes for government property, for starters. The ones who can park there have a car in the garage below the building and the way to the Foggy Bottom Metro station is through an exit on the other side of the building. The main entrance is mostly for official visitors and shuttle bus riders, not everyday workers.

That is the main lobby for Main State aka the Harry S Truman building. There are at least 30 other State buildings in the DC area where this should be happening as well.
