The beloved Gaines brand just took a hard left turn.
Chip and Joanna Gaines — long celebrated for their faith-driven family image — are now drawing backlash from fans for caving to the LGBT agenda.
Their new show, “Back to the Frontier,” premiered Thursday on HBO. It’s marketed as a “social experiment” where modern families live like 1800s pioneers.
But this experiment came at a price: the trust of their loyal base of support.
The backlash centers on their inclusion of Jason and Joe Hanna-Riggs, two gay men raising a pair of adopted sons.
As Realtor.com reported, Jason Hanna-Riggs explained their motivation bluntly: “What really inspired me was when I saw the flyer on social media, and I saw a gay couple on the front of that flyer.”
He called it “a great opportunity for representation for same-sex couples.”
Joe Hanna-Riggs admitted, he was “very hesitant,” saying, “Why are we going to do this? Why are we going to have no running water, no electricity. Like, ‘What are we signing up for?’”
But that hesitation apparently faded.
They brought the boys, Ethan and Lucas, along for the ride.
According to the outlet, the family confessed to struggling with “phantom rings” and withdrawal from their devices. They eventually adjusted, calling the lifestyle “very physical.”
And Chip Gaines? He shamelessly plugged the show on X with no mention of its controversial casting.
“Y’all are going to love this show!! Social experiment + family time well spent,” he wrote on X on Thursday evening.
The omission of two men role-playing as a family didn’t go unnoticed.
The Daily Wire’s Megan Basham blasted the decision, writing, “This is incredibly disappointing, but not particularly surprising.”

Fighting the Devil.

Destroying the idea of marriage, and mocking God by doing so, is working, as we watch the carnage.
The horrid shame that the nation’s teachers display, marks them as “Tools of the Devil!”

At the time of the founding of our nation, a homosexual act was a capital offense punishable by death. Today, some have been fined, fired, kept from graduating, or even jailed for simply saying that homosexuality is wrong.
Too many people have been conscientious objects in the Culture War.
Unbelievable. This will prove to be a very stupid and expensive decision for, well... Fagnolia.
I’ll bet this was Johanna’s decision, supposedly for ‘increased market share’. I’ve only seen the show a few times, but everytime I watched, Chip always seemed like a
“Yes, Dear!!” kind of guy, and Johanna held the power by always frowning or appearing to be on the verge of yet another scowl.
I could accept an individual family with homo parents, but I’d keep that acceptance private and certainly not use that example to support homosexuality.
I’d accept the fact that the family, especially the kids, seemed to be doing ok. That’s not even referencing the homosexuality aspect.
That Magnolia crap is the most stupid example of me-too-ism that has been unfurled on Waco.
My niece and sister called one day. Hey we are coming your way. Ok, they wanted to go to Magnolia. So we went.
Inside the old mill was every sort of stupid stuff to sell idiots.
Stalk of cotton with two boles=$15.
1/4 pint of paint=$20
People were clamoring to find anything to buy.
Just shows you how gullible people can be to “fit in”.

I used to watch these home improvement/house flipping shows for brainless entertainment but every one of them went homo. I really pity the people who watch and therefore support this crap.
I seem to recall them dealing with at least one same-sex couple’s house before. It’s rare but not unknown for them to do so.
Disappointing this is.
Well I won’t be watching it.
