I don't expect a free press to always give a pass to democrats for anything they do. If the dipsh*t had been a Republican the press would investigate everything he's said in the past and put it out there for people to make their own decision. Instead, because he's a democrat the press will decide the story should be buried as quickly as possible. And try to shame people who wanted the truth. It's who the and what the press has become.
The only good thing about the press acting like paid propagandists is it helps our side. No one likes the 'teacher's pet' and the more the teacher fawns over the 'golden girl' etc the less the kid is liked. So in the short run and long run - they help us by making democrats look like AND act like the jerks they've become. (and yeah, the people can see the favoritism.)

If he was reporting to and taking orders from a third party, then there is no confidentiality to protect. He already disposed of that on his own.
If he lied to the public, criminality may qualify. But the evidence of said criminality may not come from him, unfortunately.

No! He pleads the 5th, immediately grant him immunity and hold him in criminal contempt if he refuses.
I don't want my doctor refusing to answer questions on the grounds that it may incriminate him of crimes.

Anyone heard of HIPAA?
Doctor patient confidentiality should not, for the most part, be in play when it comes to the health of the potus. Of course, he’s no longer potus, so we’re sitting on the knife’s edge, here. OTOH, this man lied all during Biden’s presidency, which contributed to us having a mentally incompetent president for four years. He should be sanctioned, if not stripped of his medical license. And pleading the fifth is almost always an indication of guilt.
What if he opens his mouth? He’s just broken the law as I understand it. If he answers medical questions he incriminates himself. The 5th applies as much as I hate it in this case. dR. Jill cannot be forced to testify but Hunter and others could.
What if Congress frames the inquiry around the question if Biden should have been relieved of duty under the 25th Amendment? Can government officials properly claim any privilege as invoking the 25th would require some evidence of incapacity? In this case, the question is in the past tense.

Anyone who thinks HIPAA is there to protect patient privacy needs to read the dang bill.
You do know the purpose of HIPAA was for the benefit of insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid, right? It was sold to the public as a way to maintain confidentiality of medical information, but it also, and primarily, was made to allow insurance companies and Medicare and Medicaid to share information. When it was instituted, as an R.N., I attended an all day seminar on HIPAA; it’s NOT what it was sold to be to the public.
Whenever I hear ‘I plead the fifth’ I can’t help but think of some Damon Runyon character.

He was asked if anyone told him to lie about Biden. I don’t see that as a medical question.
