Women aren’t the future, but without women we have no future. To paraphrase the late, great Mr. Kevin R. Samuels:
Women control access to sex, and they decide who gets to convey his genes into the next generation.
(In other words, women decides whose evolutionary line, extending back to Precambrian times, now finally ends.)
Men control access to commitment / committed relationships - until the woman decides to opt out, take the kids and half the accumulated resources.
(The key word here is "access." "Access" doesn't necessarily mean that you get to keep it.)
