Bottom line: Russia is winning. One drone strike that took 18 months to plan is not a victory. Yes, bad damage was done, but it won't change the facts on ground.

Bottom line: Russia is winning.Capturing 20% of Ukraine while having their navy and air force destroyed.
No one expected Ukraine to hold off the Russians.
If you call this winning...

Yes, Russia was always going to win. If there is no peace agreement because the EU entices Zelensky to keep fighting then they will duke it out to a predictable end.

Russia is advancing at a snail’s pace while paying an unsustainable price. Ukraine has been resisting Russia for 3 1/2 years and there are no signs that it is about to buckle. This is not winning.

A few more would put a dent in it

The damage, in terms of bombers attrited was somewhere between the annoying and the disturbing. It fell far short of the advertised goals, thankfully because we could be looking at radioactive smoking craters if it had been as successful as originally claimed.
In the videos we keep seeing the words "fail safe." Now I don't pretend to know the video editors' intent, but I hope everyone reviews the outcome of the movie "failsafe." To atone for an inability to recall a nuclear strike against Moscow, the US President nuked NY city appealing to the example of the Sacrifice of Abraham.

Ukraine didn't do this alone, not at all. If it weren't for donations of vehicles, ammunition, logistical support and I suspect, direct assistance by military "advisors", surveillance and intel, Ukraine would be in a lot worse position that it is now.
Never forget that Joe Biden's staff committed the US and other nations to a protracted proxy war with Russia so that they could profit off the military sales and money laundering.
It's time to wrap up the US involvement in this war and get on to the business of peace in whatever form it will take.

Russia took 450 square kilometers of land in May. The buffer building continues.

I think you are confusing it with the Vietnam War.

It's time to wrap up the US involvement in this war and get on to the business of peace in whatever form it will take.Trump gave Putin an opportunity to end the war. In fact, Trump recommended a ceasefire in place by Easter. Putin didn't accept the offer, instead he was stringing Trump along.

It is not a buffer building, it is how Genghis Khan fights as contrary to Petraeus.
This small gains result in Ukrainian losses they can’t replace. Once they are done everything will be Russian.
To: whyilovetexas111
There’s a name for Russia’s victory. It’s called “Pyrrhic.”

“No one expected Ukraine to hold off the Russians.”
The ukes are not holding off the Russians. The USA and NATO in a proxy war are holding off the Russians. At least get it right. If the USA withdraws they crumble in days if not hours.
To: whyilovetexas111
Sure they are, a strike deep inside your territory looks like winning 21-30% interest rates(if you can get one and afford it), 11-20% inflation…
Winning

Ukraine is experiencing demographic collapse. It will take generations to recover, if it ever does.
It would have been so much better if Zelensky had ceded those two provinces to the Russians, and some think he was willing to do so early on, but was headed off by NATO and the CIA.

Not just the Donbas.

The Western media is lying [what’s new?] about the Ukrainian losses in order to keep the war going.
The zeepers believe the media lies.
