what a conundrum
existential threat of an open border
vs
scarcity of dishwashers
what to do...what to do
such an obvious solution
deport everyone except dishwashers
illegals will work for free
hopefully the restaurants will be closed
because the owners are in jail!
Time to make D,C. a totally federal government enclave. Get rid of all private businesses and private dwellings in D.C. That will also end the “Statehood For DC” obscenity.
good.
maybe some of them will learn to do something constructive for a change
like make their own meals
instead of being waited hand and foot on like some kind of aristocrat.
Looks like the DC restaurants will have to hire Americans for those "jobs Americans won't do" - or go out of business.
Nothing good can come out of deporting illegals, right. You can ask the people of Denver how that feels:
IMAGINE THAT: Homicides Are Down 60 Percent in Denver Following ICE Deportations
Same party, same people exploiting poor people's labor, same racism.
More of “Who’s gonna pick our cotton, Y’all?”
I washed dishes at a diner when I was in High School.
Remember UR Cooks? The restaurant where you cooked your own steak.
Poor poor DC. I feel so bad for them… not.
just raise wages and benefits you will get workers.....supply and demand. why should some industries benefit from illegal workers and others not? unfair competition...that’s the other side of the coin.
“Who will serve us our singele-malt Scotch?”
As high-dollar as even the cheapest eatery in D.C. is they should have no problem employing citizens or green-card holders. When I lived there, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, they did, including me.
Arrest the owners who hired them
Democrats in 1864 and 2025.
Who will wash dishes? Who will cut the grass? The floors won’t get swept. etc.
Yes they will. There will be millions of entry-level jobs available for America’s youth and unemployed minorities. They will be able to finally get a job and enjoy the pride that arises from having done a good job and getting paid for it.
Bring on the foodbots
