First part is true; a GS-14 or 15 level supervisor depending on the organization. DOD employees do not have union protection, but as a matter of federal statue they cannot be fired at will, only for cause. It happens, but not often at all. Never seen a GS-15 fired before, but did see an SES forced to resign (he deserved it).
MSNBC contract not agreed upon yet. Agent wants an assigned parking space and more weeks off for vacations.
So is this guy Small fish? or BIG fish?
This doesn’t surprise me.
The idiot’s willingness to get caught saying it on camera does.
Great point. And each with a law firm putting the government through years of appeals.
“Back to old job with back pay says federal district judge.”
Group Captain Lionel Mandrake:
“ The Court of Inquiry will give you such a pranging you’ll be lucky to wear the uniform of a bloody toilet attendant.”
I would think that expressed intent to sabotage the Commander in Chief would be sufficient reason to fire him.
I’d just eliminate that department and fire everyone in it.
But he’s probably not the only one, and following his contact list might yield some interesting finds.
RE: ....we the people are sick and tired....
Getting to sound like the Samuel Adams sheets nailed to trees when the revolution was getting under way.
I agree.
What doers a “Defense Department Branch Chief” do?
I didn’t watch the whole video, but DOD Civilians are free to express even political opinions when they are off duty like anyone else. Most of them don’t, but there are plenty these days with no sense of professionalism or decorum.
Of course. These people believe the bs they spew. That plus the standard insufferable liberal self-righteousness makes them do things like denounce their boss to a stranger in public
A political opinion is not the same thing as saying “We are going to resist him in everything.”
He will be unemployed in the morning
I know of three different civilian federal employee first level supervisors who were fired over the years.
Interestingly they all had the same issue—a business on the side that was a conflict of interest (and had not been approved by management).
(It was also the same line of business—which is how I knew about it.)
What is a branch chief? Is it a title with actual authority or just ceremonial?
“Picking on this idiot is pretty stupid.”
You are astoundingly wrong.
L
My thought exactly. I clicked on this thinking it was a Service Branch Chief, which would have been a proverbial "bombshell". But instead some undefined "branch chief".
Tree-trimming, maybe?
Branch Chief is a first level supervisor.
That means they have employees working for them in their Branch.
