On Tuesday, a federal judge in Denver, Colorado, blocked another round of potential deportations under the Alien Enemies Act (AEA).
US District Judge Charlotte Sweeney, a Biden appointee, granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) blocking the removal of aliens from the district of Colorado.
The anti-American ACLU and the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network said during a hearing on Monday that two Venezuelan illegals were facing deportation to El Salvador’s CECOT prison under the Alien Enemies Act.

The judge also said the Alien Enemies Act doesn’t apply to this case because the United States is not at war with Venezuela.

Yeah, my first reaction to this headline was “take a number and have a seat.”

The judge is illiterate. For one thing being at war is not required. For another, if the wording of that act were to be questioned, his is not the court that would make that decision.
Why can;t he deport them because they broke the law, why does he need to invoke a Law of 1788..

Now each district court that has a detention facility must have its own temporary restraining order issued.

the House needs to start putting a stop to this. Mass impeachments. Too bad they are cowards and part of the problem.
I wish Trump would be more like Andrew Jackson. Problem is, I know the Democrats and a few Repugnicans are salivating at the thought of impeaching Trump if he defies a renegade judge.

The GOP quietly sits on their hands, thumbs inserted, hoping Trump is impeached so they can get back to what they are known best for, doing nothing. Collecting checks, bribes , stock trades, hookers, dope or whatever gets them going.
They’re on vacation.
Can’t understand why Trump gives the judges permission to rule against his agenda. Once he submitted the first time, then the dam burst.
He should not supplicate them in court. He should publicly challenge them to show where the Constitution gives them that authority. They will box his ears for the next four years if he keeps stepping in their range.
A “Biden Judge” is an oxymoron. Anyone selected by that single-digit intellectual IQ and zero digit moral IQ POS has not the ability to even empty the trash, let alone pretend to be an honest lawyer.
They figured out their old game plan of bringing the women to file sexual assault charges to stop President Trump’s agenda wasn’t going to fly this time so they are on to Plan B.
Exactly. No need to invoke the Act. Just deport them (and all other illegals) because they’re here….well….illegally. They broke the law entering our country.
The judge wins. From now on, no planes deporting to Venezuela can depart from Colorado. LOL
