Cinco de Mayo is maybe the best marketing campaign ever.
It was basically promoted as a Mexican holiday by Corona beer. A beer that is more popular in the USA, than Mexico.

Yet, they have made it into a reason for many Americans to go to lunch, dinner or just drinks at their local Mexican restaurant and order a Cervasa or Margarita.
