HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s visit to the FDA made headlines as he schooled employees on everything from past CIA experiments, mind control and the Deep State.
Kennedy, who also warned FDA employees against becoming “sock puppets” of the industries they regulate, didn’t hold back.

I like the Retro Liberal.
“Because of my family’s commitment to these issues, I spent 200 hours at Wassaic Home for the Retarded when I was in high school,” Kennedy said, referencing the Wassaic State School for the Mentally Retarded in Wassaic, New York.
“So I was seeing people with intellectual disabilities all the time. I never saw anybody with autism.”
So, as a teenager RFK was qualified to diagnose autism?
Experience not age .
“So, as a teenager RFK was qualified to diagnose autism?”
Likely not, but I suspect that he was capable of reading their diagnoses that others had prepared.

Since RFK saw no autistic children, what experience?

What diagnoses? So, as a teenager, RFK had access to diagnoses?

I doubt they kept that information locked in a bank vault, if that’s what you’re getting at. After all, MANY people need access to it, and no - it wasn’t computerized back then, not even close.

There’s no conceivable/credible case to assume a teenager had access to medical diagnoses. IOW, this is just RFK unqualified assessment with little or no factual basis.
“What diagnoses? So, as a teenager, RFK had access to diagnoses?”
OBVIOUSLY you’ve never worked in a medical facility, so I’m done here.
So, as a teenager RFK was qualified to diagnose autism?
You say that as if the patients at Wassaic weren't diagnosed by professionals and that RFK Jr. didn't have access to those diagnoses.
So people who work with patients don't have access to the patients diagnoses?
What was RFK Jr. responsibilities at Wassaic?
“All of us are subject to those gravities of agency capture,” Kennedy said, calling on the audience to “be conscious of that gravity because it’s going to be pulling you every single day of your career. We want to break away from this so we can make our kids healthy.”
The speech sent many FDA staffers reeling, which was undoubtedly the point.
How does this statement make anyone “reel?” To begin with, it’s absolutely true.
Not only that, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have said this many times.
Maybe they don’t like the emphasis on children’s health??
He’s on the spectrum;-)

If RFK had access to those diagnoses, he would have said so.
Until then, it’s just his statement about something he was unqualified to make.
If RFK had access to those diagnoses, he would have said so.
Your response is a real stretch.
People refer to diagnosed illnesses all the time without using the word "diagnosed". For example people with high blood pressure commonly say, "I have high blood pressure". It doesn't mean that the person is guessing they have high blood pressure. It is commonly assumed that they have been diagnosed with high blood pressure.
And above and beyond all that, RFK Jr's point remains about elevated rates of autism.
I don’t recall where but I read that everyone has autism but to a different degree?.
I do know many have worse things now days.

The strech is believing RFK could diagnose autism as a teenager.

Good. Go find somebody who believes that RFK is diagnosing autism.
My two points stand.
