Senate Majority Leader John Thune and other establishment Republicans are lobbying President Trump to endorse Senator John Cornyn over Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
According to a report from CNN, Republican leaders are becoming “anxious” about the prospect of Paxton launching a successful primary challenge against Cornyn.
Cornyn has long been unpopular within MAGA circles for his closeness to former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and opposition to parts of Trump’s policia agenda.
The report explains:

He has done ten times what Abbott has to protect Texas. Mostly Abbott is mostly nowhere to be seen. Sad, he could have gone somewhere if he would have shown some strength.

This tells me GOP Senate RINO’s must think Cornhole is in trouble.
And I hope he is. Big Trouble.

Swamp creatures protect their own. Thune ran against the swamp, did not take long to become one of them.

At heart Thune is an establishment Country Club Republican. When he has to choose
between MAGA and The Club, usually his lot is thrown in with The Club.

On January 20, 2017 I posted the following:
“Donald Trump has six months to denounce the GOP and call out 435 American nationalist patriots to run for Congress in November 2018. If he does not do this, the GOP is waiting to stab him in the back”.
It’s more true today than it was then. Both “major parties” are dead or dying. It’s time to move on.

Be the first time I’d buck Trump.
I would vote Beto over John Cornyn and I’d never vote Beto.

Or cross his fingers on camera, ala Vietnam War PoW.

POTUS Trump is certainly not going to endorse Cornyn”
He might, Trump might cut a deal it would not be the first time. I’m sure he did it with Graham.

I don't think anyone can be an effective governor with Abbot's physical handicap. The staff can idle in the office, but being governor means physically moving around and Texas is a big state.

If Paxton decides to run, Cornholio is finished.
Thune may try to work out this deal with Trump: we'll recess the Senate and you can recess appoint Paxton as attorney general to replace Blondi.
Thune gets Paxton out of the way and Trump gets a competent AG.
To: Macho MAGA Man
Am I surprised John Thune showed his RINO tendencies? No, I’m not surprised as I’ve called him a RINO for years and despised him becoming the new Majority leader. What I am surprised is how fast he revealed his true RINO nature. I thought he’d be way more subtle and we wouldn’t see it obviously until the midterms.

To: MinorityRepublican
No he shouldn’t endorse him, just like he shouldn’t have endorsed Mitt Romeney or his niece Ronna McRomeny. Huge mistakes.
