Britain is a nuclear power, but even a cursory examination of that claim shows that it's far from an independent nuclear power, reliant on foreign-manufactured and maintained missiles and worn-out ballistic missile submarines that should have been replaced by new boats long ago. Whether year-round nuclear deterrence is even possible has also been challenged. Find out the true state of Britain's nuclear defences - you will probably be shocked and surprised!

It wasn’t that long ago when GB was the world’s premier submarine service. Sad to see them fail.

The Brits have been delusional about their world status for many decades.

The Brits don’t have money for defense because it’s all spent on housing, subsistence, education and medical for imigrants who don’t speak the language.

Britain has imported a hostile foreign army to take them down in the next world war that Europe starts.
There will be no saving them and the U.S. shouldn’t even try.

It wasn't in stellar shape when they took action in the Falkland Islands.

Britain does not own their own Trident missiles. They are “leased” from the USA and maintained at King’s Bay, Georgia.

Has rhe UK really got all the personnel in uniform it claims?

All the weapons, ships, armament...

Or has the UK been cooking its defense books, too.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Remember when Britannia ruled the waves? And Britons were confident that they never never never would be slaves?

The British defense forces don't give a damn.

Their 'plan' is to call in Americans to die for them. And for us to pay for that privilege. Let's get out of NATO and let the EU and Brit parasites defend themselves - or not. Whatever...

They will soon be the first radical Islam regime with nuclear weapons.

At this rate, they'll eventually lose the capability.

The Sun sat on the British Empire years ago as they never recovered from World War 2.

They were "fine" after WWII. They decided to establish the NHS. Afterwards, they had to pay everything on butter.

Crappy butter, that is.

Peacetime naval construction is a long-term commitment - it takes five to six years to produce an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, for example; the British submarine HMS Astute took 14. This expense must be spread across changing political administrations, some of which are adamantly in opposition. This isn't something that can be dealt with by a single vote of Parliament.

Something like this sort of inter-administration paralysis hindered the French from military preparation during the last pre-war years of the Third Republic, leading to its collapse in June 1940. Something similar happened in Austria-Hungary prior to 1914. These aren't encouraging precedents.
